Mandolay Hotel, Guildford

In Guildford, Surrey’s county town, is the Mandolay (****) – pictured top – a four star 72 room hotel just over the road from the busy G-Live arts and performance venue.  All of the rooms have been individually styled by renowned Osborne and Little and come with toiletries from Molton Brown.

The gorgeous suites have features like corner baths and exposed beams and the London Road hotel also has a restaurant that has been recognised with two AA Rosettes.

Angel Hotel, Guildford

Right in the heart of Guildford town centre is the Angel Hotel (****). This recently-refurbished, luxurious hotel is sumptuously furnished and offers 21 bedrooms and suites.

Asperion Hillside, Worplesdon

Ten minutes’ from the centre of Guildford in the village of Worplesdon is the four star boutique guesthouse Asperion Hillside (****). The rooms are chic and stylish, with a beautiful Super King four poster bed suite available as well as King, Twin, Double and Single room options. Brooklands near Weybridge is the historic home of motor racing, having been the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit. The track, as it was, closed at the end of the 1930s but would have gone right through the reception of the Brooklands Hotel & Spa (****) – a unique luxury hotel which overlooks the Mercedes-Benz World track. Administratively and pedantically, Richmond is no longer a part of Surrey, but for many people this beautiful location by the Thames is still very much thought of as Surrey.
