The Grade-II listed hotel – the only boutique hotel in Faversham – has eight guest rooms, all individually named after an historical figure with a connection to Faversham and all individually furnished to a high standard. Faversham is a beautiful town with some wonderful architecture. In fact, some of described Abbey Street as one of the finest medieval streets in the country. Many of the beautiful Thames sailing barges that plied their trade on the river were built here at Faversham and that history is alluded to at Standard Quay where the original warehouses still stand and there’s a visitor centre for the sailing barge Cambria. There’s also a charming array of businesses selling art, antiques, curious and more.
