A BRAND new luxury hotel has opened in London which features an “inhabitable sculpture” designed by Anthony Gormley.

Gormley’s striking addition to the exterior of a 1920s art deco building is one of the standout features of the new Beaumont Hotel.

The Beaumont is the first hotel by famous restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King and overlooks Brown Hart Gardens in upmarket Mayfair.

It has 73 rooms, including the specially designed ROOM sculpture, and offers a visitors a return to the “pre-war elegance of Mayfar.”

The Grade-II listed building was built in 1926 and was first used as a garage building. Permission to convert the property in to a hotel was granted by local planners in 2010.
