New boutique hotel to open in Tulse Hill
LONDON’s Tulse Hill is about to get a new nine-bedroom boutique hotel.
Green King plan to reopen the Tulse Hill Hotel in the London Borough of Lambeth next month as a boutique hotel.
The pub has a history that traces back to the mid-19th century and planning permission was granted by local planners earlier this for staff accommodation at the venue to be converted in to five guest rooms, adding to the four it already had.
“The bedrooms at the Tulse Hill Hotel are design-led without compromising on convenience or comfort. We have nine beautifully appointed bedrooms with their own en suite bathrooms.” says the new website for the hotel.
A spokesperson for the hotel told brixtonblog.com “the exterior will retain much of the original architectural detail, maintaining the original signage and copper lanterns, whilst the interior will feature design aspects such as wooden parquet flooring, wooden paneling and a reclaimed 1920’s bar.”
The handsome property close to Tulse Hill railway station doesn’t have a statutory listing but in 2012 was locally listed by Lambeth Council for its architecture, its history and its contribution to the local townscape.
